History: 
Schloss Seefels was built as a nice little castle in 1860 by the philatelist and inventor of the postcard, Dr. Emanuel Herrmann, on the banks of Lake Woerthersee. 35 years ago, the previous owners converted the palace into a luxury hotel. The Seefels a venerable castle according to its origin, however in the style new, surprising and unconventional. The octagonal tower of this beautiful summer palace, built during the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph, is reflected in the clear blue waters of Poertschach Lake. What could be more romantic than dining beneath the elegant glass roof of the Belle Époque veranda or eating on the terrace as the breeze wafts the scent of flowers past your table?
